Building a JDM D15B Vtec vs D16Z6 and general D series turbo stuff
I was wondering if it is a viable alternative to a buildup of a jdm D15B vtec or if it's easier/better to go with a built Z6 , can the jdm d15bvtec be sleeved? what about bearings... i've heard that bearings for this engine are unique to this engine(even the D15Z doesnt share the same bearings ?). all i'am really looking forward too in the future is some 300-350ish whp and high 11sec low 12sec runs on slicks , suggestions ? *EDIT* i Forgot to mention that i'am going to be using a GT2871R in my setup .. and i'am also undecieded on a Dseries manifold ... and was wondering if you guys had any suggestions ? i've seen the hks D series t25 flanged cast iron manifold at importparts.com. Has anybody used this manifold ? Will i have to cut any webbing out of the block to clear some space for the turbo ? (like in some drag kits , * i really wish somebody out their made a manifold for the D series just like the inline pro B series cast manifolds)
