D16z6 build.
I'm putting together a D16z6 engine for my daily. I have the head and block, and am currently looking at a JDM intake manifold/TB combo for cheap. What is the difference? Should I grab this combo and be done with it? Thanks.

I don't have experience with it so keep this thread floating to get more answers. As long as they have FITV and IACV too like here then you should be fine.

Re: D16z6 build.
If you're on a budget, the D16Y8 ('96-00 Civic EX) intake manifold is your answer. With its short runners and fat plenum this is essentially putting a Type R intake manifold on a B series, but still not nearly as good as aftermarket units. The JDM intake manifold you're probably referring to is the D15B probably. Its equal to the D16Z6 motor here. It will most likely be about the same.

Re: D16z6 build.
possible. I don't want to use a turbo or supercharger, N.O.S. etc. I have owned my Honda since 94 and got 380,000 miles out of it. I don't intend to race around but a little extra muscle over stock would be nice. Any help or advise would be appreciated. I don't know much about the honda tuning world.
Thanks

I want to rebuild my Sol's D16 too. I would like to get as close to 200hp as
possible. I don't want to use a turbo or supercharger, N.O.S. etc. I have owned my Honda since 94 and got 380,000 miles out of it. Re: D16z6 build.
if you boost it you can make 200WHP easy. Otherwise you can do intake, header, exhaust, E3 plugs, Heat Sheilding Intake Manifold Gasket, Port Matched Y8 Intake Manifold, and Throttle Body Coolant Bypass. With all that you should make atleast 130WHP.
