Default Building a boosted accord ...

I am working towards a boosted 95 accord f22b sohc and I "heard" that 8lbs is the most I can run with stock internals. I have found a couple of turbo's on sale but they were used. The T3 (used) by garrett and a T3/T04 (new) by Garrett. I plan to boost it stock first and want to know which turbo to go with before I start changing rods, pistons, valves and springs. I'm piecing my kit together since I think it will be cheaper. The sellers claim there is minor "shaft play". What does this mean?

that might mean you need to get it rebuilt. about $300 for rebuilding cause your going to have to send it to a turbo rebuild shop. They need to high speed balance the shaft and change seals, bearings, possible turbine replacement. You might just want to buy new.

So if I went for the new t3/t04 would that be good for a small amount of boost 8-10lbs of boost?

Should be, i plan on using a GT25 to deliver up to around 11psi on a stock F22B1.

With good tunign and fuel delivery 8-10lbs of boost shouldn't be a problem
