build now or later?

build now or later?
I might have to have the head gasket changed, sometime soon. Should I go ahead and take the opportunity and change the rods and pistons, among other things. Or should i keep everything as is and wait and see how much longer the engine will hold up. What would u guys do?

i was in the same boat you were and well, my rings are gone now.
ughhhhh ............
