Default buget buildup, 2004 grassroots

Howdy,
Im currently contemplating a junkary turbo on a d16 using a HR exhaust mani with adapter plate. I know this has been covered a thousand times but I am looking for feedback from peeps running this on a d16 engine. What types of power are you getting? What 1/4 miles times? Is the throttle modulation good enough for track use?
Basically my plan is to build this on an 88 civic hatch and try to do it for less than 2004 dollar. Im sure I will utilize the ebay clause quite a bit to make full use of the 3004 out of pocket and then sell 1k in stuff I dont need.
Anyone else doing this? Anyone else even heard of the 2004 race?

if I remember correctly I think some decent suspension mods will make better use of your budget. You could eat up a lot of your budget with a turbo system, and I think most of the grassroots metrics are more geared to precise handling.
