Default Budget Turbo Kit

OK i'm putting together my own kit, low budget style of course. I want something I can buy piece by piece since I'm terrible at saving. I have everything pretty much sorted out but I don't know which turbo to use. So far I thought of these as choices:

TD04H-15G - possibly, was looking for something with a TD05 housing so i could upgrade to a 16g later on.
TD05H-16G - kinda costly for a BUDGET kit, usually like 400-500
TD05H-14B - cheap, but the wastegate opens at 10-11psi. researched modifying it to open earlier or use an external wastegate and so far I cant' find something that is SURE to work and be safe.
T3 60 - got one cheeeeap a while back but i had to sell it, now i can't find them too cheap.

Someone gimme some recommendations. And no I'm not gonna buy a kit, it's hard as it is to save up a lump sum of money... i have bad luck **** always happens

i plan on doing a t3 custom kit. i have found allot of good deals so it looks pretty reasonable, but im going to rebuild a t3 unless i buy one that is rebuilt and probably go standalone(havent decided what kind yet) so i understand where your coming from but cant wait to get started.

Your best bet would first be the td04 15g. They are cheap and easy to find http://www.thepartstrader.com. If you eventually want a little more power you can make/modify your manifod to fit a 16g. Good luck

Right now... all i have is a friggin turbo timer. I was going custom once before with a T3 60 trim but I had to sell... needed money. I'm not looking to buy everything at one time. But I got my T3 dirt cheap last time and all it needed was some cleaning up. So I'm trying to see if I can get another like that.

Try to get sponsors like everyone else, I'm under Mastercard. Joking aside, I'm in the same boat as you, it would be really hard for me to save up a one time sum of money. CC are risky, but if u can find a low interest rate and are good with payments, its possible. I bought my turbo + rims with the card. Good luck bro.

Budget!!!! Budget all the way, wait for it and you'll catch someone upping to a t3/4. If you can't hold onto money, put it away in a certificate of deposit...

Budget turbo kit (HAH!)...no such animal man...even if your initial install and parts are cheap, you will wind up spending more in the future to get it right!

you want turbo, you have to have money..period..

it'll add up during the install or afterwards, if you're not prepared, don't even bother...

and yes, there are no such things as a budget turbo kit, unless you know what you're doing....there is a reason why turbo kit manufacturer sells a lot of kit....eventhough they are expensive...80% of the researcha dn thinking has been done for you...

yah I know. Doing things half *** isn't good. Actually when I say budget. I should really say I mean like putting together a kit piece at a time... BASED on my budget. I'm not going with any cheap **** really. For the turbo I'm just thinking I don't NEED a T3/T4 because I doubt I'll need that much power, at least not for now. I was thinking to start with a straight T3 60 trim, a 14B (flows as much as the greddy 15G), or a 16G (everyone dsm guy wants one these days so they're getting ridiculous in price for what you're getting). The manifold I'm thinking of going with an SFP or one from Pann Auto. The other parts will also be good quality. Right now I just don't feel like savin and blowing $2500 on a drag kit or even $1500 on a Greddy all at one time. I figure I'd just put the parts together over time.
