breaking in boosted lsv.
Yo I just put new rings and bearings in my lsv got my block all machined and honed I am breaking the motor in with my turbo setup bolted on im not running any boost tubes or vac lines yet so there is no way in building any boost in break in. Anyways I let the motor go through a heat cycle flush the oil put fresh oil in it went out and drove it for ten miles, the motor is still smoking but everything ran out fine I was letting the motor wind down a lot only taking it up to 4rpm's it did seem a little powerless but I am running a p30 ecu with obd1 gsr injectors and very, very little exhaust off the turbo. Should I not be worried and just keep driving it till it stops smoking?? I know its kinda dumb I just dont want to mess up the rings at all. Your opions are appericated thanks!!

what is your piston to wall clearance? ring gaps?... engine bearings take only about 100 miles to break in, and the rings seat with just a couple of vacum pulls. just change the oil a couple times, slap on the charge pipes, injectors, and make sure to do a boost leak test and take it to the dyno.
