Default Breaking in a fresh motor...

First off, yes i used the search button already. Anyways, last summer i rebuilt my motor and when i broke it in i ran it N/A for 750 miles on non-synthetic motor not taking it above 3000rpms. After that, i installed the turbo, babied it for probably another 200 miles before really getting on it. Well i had my motor apart again, this time i went with new OEM rod and main bearings, new piston rings, headgasket, arp head studs, and the usual gaskets that need to be replaced and what not. This time i dont have time to run the motor N/A to break it in, so i will have the turbo installed. My question here is... Which oil should i use? I know when i run my turbo i run mobile 1 synthetic, but i know for break in periods this oil is too light. So what do you guys recommend that i do? Also, im going to have it dyno tuned soon, is 1500 mile enough mileage before having this done? I plan on having it boosting 18+psi... Thanks

Yeah definately use a non synthetic for motoer break in. Use a 10w 30 motor oil for about 300 miles then make the change to synthetic.

its not a question of boost, but more of a question of load and rpms. That should be your main concern.

remove the spring on your wastegate so that it stays open all the time, that way you won't build any boost. And if you're not building any boost, then the turbo won't be spinning real fast and so it would probably be alright to use non-synthetic oil in the turbo.

yea basically my concern was the non-synthetic oil running on my ball bearing turbo. I already had planned on doing the wastegate spring trick you mentioned, thanks for making sure ill be posting pictures soon...
