breaking it in before tune>?
hey guys i tried searching it but i couldnt really find what i need. my motor is almost finished...new rods and pistons...when it is all put back together i plan on tunning it with hondata..should i put a certain amount of miles on it before i go to tune/>? please i need as much info as possible. by the way its an ls-t obd-1 with 650's at 13 psi. the ecu has a basemap on it for my 650's thanks to 93turbo16
.
.
I plan on runnin my LS Vtec with a stock header, stock map and stock injectors for 1000 kms (miles) before i slap my turbo **** back on and drive up to the tuner with a basemap...
ALot of people will say just to take it strait to the dyno and tune right away

I've tuned a good handful of semi to fully built cars now and with all of them I have used the HARD break in method. With today's tolerances and the way the rings actually seat you want HARD break in with lots of deceleration for the gases to force the rings to seat.
...but it's your engine do what you want
