BOV placement???
ok i know where the bov goes however i'm curious whether it matters if the BOV is on the top of the charge pipe or bottom, or side, etc etc.
reason i ask is for my sleeper setup my charge pipe is made up to look identical to an AEM Cai...painted, high temp stenciled aem logo, and even carb legal sticker is on...so what would really ruin the whole goal of this pipe is to have a huge BOV sticking out of the top. ya know??

Won't they see the turbo or wastegate if they happen to look under the hood anyway?? I dont think the bov necessarily has to be on top of the pipe

a lovely little "heat shield" will be blocking view of manifold/turbo so no worries. besides everything is pretty much painted black anyway.

I dunno. I think Geoff had a good arguement against that train of thought.
Ok, A BOV relieves backpressure so when the throttle body is closed so the turbo isn't pushing agaist a closed system. So, probably the most logical place for a BOV would be close to the compressor outlet.
Its not like water flowing out. As soon as the BOV opens, pressure is relieved EVERYWHERE almost instantly. Not just near the BOV first.

Wasn't there also something about not making the cooler have to cool air that'll be released to the atmosphere any way? Allowing the cooler to take a short break and cool off slightly.
