has nothing to do with your backpressure or exhaust, but has everything to do with manifold pressure. do you have the vac line hooked up? check if there is any tears in the line? that's where i'd start

Just what I was going to ask. When I had a greddy kti with greddy typoe S BOV, I tired that and no sound. HOWEVER, on my RB20 swapped 240sx, you could hear it in neutral. Take a drive and test it then.

im pretty sure there is no leak in the hoses. i will pull it off and double check the brass T and hoses. is it ok to hook it where it is on the manifold?????(its that T sitting right on the last coupler on the throttle body) or should I use a different source????? I ordered a Golden Eagle vacuum rail, so i will be moving everything to the firewall eventually.

Where is the vac. line hooked into? It should be on your intake manifold after the throttle body. Could it be the fact that your exhaust is too loud to be able to hear the BOV?

Yeah, you should move it. The source needs to be after the throttle body/plate, so that when it closes, it stops the positive pressure in the intake manifold and creates a vacuum, which in turn opens the BOV.

putting it inline with the map is probley the worst place to put it, try putting it where the pcv valve gets its vac from

OK now, while in neutral 5 to 6k rev's yeild small Blow offs. put my hand in front of the BOV and can feel the air come out as soon as the throttle is released. I'm guessing while driving it will be alot more.

You probably cant hear it, due to loud exhaust noise. It may be working, yet your exhaust ( open downpipe ) is toooo loud. Little whistle at 5k rpm is pretty quiet.

thats a source of boost... tee it off your fuel pressure regulator/brake booster or anything AFTER!!! the throttle body
