well this happened to me when the vaccum line that goes from ur bov to where ever u have it tapped into gets hot. if u r using one of those silicone lines or a weak vaccum line after driving for a couple of minutes it will get hot and it will suck the line together. (kinda looks like ur vaccum line is flat). it will be hard to find because if u dont open the hood soon enough, the line will go back to normal and u wont be able see any problems with it. just open ur hood while ur eng. is cold and give that line a pinch, if it is at all easy to pinch that line, that is more than likely ur problem. good luck.

very possibly the culprit of your problems. any time you buy a knock off, youre risking something. my 1st gen dsm bov sucks and is starting to do the same thing + bleed boost...

i think that the problem is that that is a **** BOV... get a new one if the adjustment isnt helping. is your psi fluctuating more too?

what kind of waste gate do you have? if you have an acutator type, check the vacuum line to it. when i tightened the line too much on the actuator it left a small crack and it caused the BOV to sound like that no matter how much i adjusted it.

I'm running the real Blitz bov and it flutters in normal driving(little boost pressure) and doesn't flutter under hard driving(over 5psi boost)

it wouldn't hurt to take it apart and check for damage. also to put a little lube on the seals

him, ok i am going to have to try that once i get home, it really sucks that when i bought it i had know idea that is was made by XS so this time if its actually broken i think i am just going to buy the GReddy type S.

as for the sound of the BOV it fluttered at low boost also but under high boost like anthing over 7psi or so it sounded exactly like a Blitz DD. you can here it on my dyno video below

maybe theres not enough vacuum to let the bov release pressure. what your hearing isnt the bov fluttering. its actually called compressor surge which means the air has no where to go when you let off the gas so it goes back to the turbo and try's to push it the opposite direction making that odd fluttering noise. my 1st gen dsm one did that only because my vac line to it was pinched.

have you ever heard of a turbo actually breaking due to compressor surge? highly doubt it.

but the bov shouldn't be the problem...all the ebay knock offs work just as good as "the real thing"

you either have a collapsed line, it's tightned TOO much, or it's working properly and you just dont realize it.

yeah well i know all about XS and SSAC but io didnt buy it on purpose, the kid i bought it off of ripped me off, which i now realize cuz like a year ago i gave him $100 for it. well if i had known what product i was buying i would have not bought it . so i am going to take off the BOV and check it, i think maybe a line may have gotten pinched when i replaced my fuel filter or when i replaced the distibuter cap the other week cuz that now is the only thing i can think of

:me calling my self a dumb ***:

so hopefully i will have this problem solved by the end of tonight

well i looked over my vac lines and everything seems to be ok with them, i removed the one on the BOV and nothing seems out of the ordinary. didnt have time to remove the BOV itself but i am now leaning towards the BOV a little more.

anyone have anyother ideas???
