on a b16, i wouldn't recommend boring your stock sleeves to 83mm. The walls will be too thin and crack under pressure, especially if you're expecting to push 400whp.

just don't bore it to 83mm. I would just bore it to 81.5mm. Good set of pistons and rods, with a good setup even on the stock head you should be able to hit over 400whp if you push enough boost thru it.

is that even possible??? The only way to EVER put 83mm pistons in your B series w/ boost is through aftermarket sleeving...although i'm sure that's been said already

I might be wrong but I think few people done it on all motor setups. I wouldn't go past 81.5, some people do 82mm on stock sleeves but they can crank even without any type of forced induction.
