Default boring question

hey guys just wondering i soon gonna be starting my lsvtec turbo build and just wondering about boring the block out i been reading up and alot of people are running 81.5mm bore i was just wondering if a 82mm bore will be just as reliable as 81.5mm the power range i like be around is 300-360whp with full forged rods and pistons , block gaurd and arp head studs.
thanks guys

if the block is still stock, if it were me, I would probably save the extra .5mm .... if you want to freshen it up to 81.5mm it then leaves you an extra .5mm in case of other rebuild...

besides, for a FI app, that extra displacement isn't going to make a substantial difference....

HT edit: get rid of the block gaurd

81.5 is all I would do. I agree you shouldn't run the block guard
