ok. so i got my crx finished today.. here is my basic setup..its an ls turbo with a garret t3, tubular manifold, front mount, stock internal wastegate, blitz bov chipped ecu to read boost... she started on the first try, no oil leaks...

runs pretty good for being on an untuned base turbo map... but im having some boosting problems... it wont push over 4psi or so.. ive tried adjusting the wastegate, using a known working boost controller, and using a known working boost gauge... still nothing over 4psi... i have a blitz bov, i was thinking that maybe it could be not adjusted right... but it seems like however i adjust it i still get the same result... im going to try a diff wastegate this weekend, to see if my actuator is malfunctioning..what do u guys think?. any ideas would be appreciated

 

I think the intelligent thing would be to go get your car tuned before you start dicking around and trying to throw more boost at it.

 

the base map he put on my car was a mildly tuned map he used on a car with the same setup... it runs great... a/f ratios are all fairly good.. well withing safe range... the guy who will be tuning it.. and also did my computer chipping said i could drive it on this base map if i really wanted to... hes gonna fine tune it once i get my boost levels at 6psi where ill be running them on the street...so the tune isnt my worry...

the car isnt boosting right... as of right now.. it boosts up to 2 maybe 3 psi.. until around 5800-6000 and then it hits about 4psi... nothing more... ive had a couple turbo cars... and this just doesnt seem normal to me... its like im either leaking hella boost, or the wastegate isnt working properly.. and im leaning towards the wastegate....
