Default boosting more

I have drag kit on my lsvtec ek hatch. I currently running 38mm Tial wastegae with stock psi spring boosting 6psi. Can I raise the boost if I change the wastegate spring to 10psi without boost controller?? Im tuned with hondata s300 and hallman manual caused me boost spike ,almost blowing my motor. So if I purchase this 30 dollar part from Tial, .7bar, Im hoping to boost 10psi. I would bring my hondata s300 to hondata to install boost by gear but I need my car

You can buy the .7 bar spring if you want to boost more. but you will need a re-tune with the higher boost level.

MBC's tend to cause spikes when under certain conditions.

there is a chance the MBC itself caused the spike and another form of BC would do the job nicely, I always say; it is better to have a lower BASE spring rate, that way you have a low failsafe zone, and when the spring gives you issues at higher boost levels, then upgrade to a stiffer spring as needed.

you should be ok with the 10psi spring though.
