it all depends on your setup, if your going with a junkyard turbo setup and motor has a ton of mles, most likely wont last long

If you are willing to put $$ in then IMO it's worth it.

Get some internals, a z6 vtec head, and a decent turbo and you should be pretty quick.

upgrade clutch/suspension/brakes also!

as long as your safe with fuel and keeping detonation in check, a turbo is the way to go. just dont get happy with a boost controller as most first timers do. like "oooh...6 puonds hauls ***, wonder what 10 would do?"

but you'll still be just another slow honda no matter how you look at it. 400whp is where it is at

in my opinion its not worth it to turbo a stock d15b7. save your money and put together a better motor... ex LS swap this year, turbo next year? or built sohc this year, turbo next year...

I boosted my d15b7 for (after you convert) about $600 US. This included all parts, some tools, beer and a bunch of extra misk.

My car is a friggin blast to drive now, running 6psi for the last 4,000km. I also got my first speeding ticket last night... coincidence? Probobly not.

Either way, if you're ghettoing it, then by all means d15b7... but I'm already looking to pick up a z6.

The reason people turbo D's is because that is what came in their car, turbo that thing. It will last if you tune it right and those rods are good to 200 hp with good tuning too. Anybody who tells you not to turbo it is stupid.

Rod's are very weak get some 1.5L rod's from crower. Bushed fit.

Just think about you put a dohc in there and then you have 100lbs + more. Just dont hope for 600HP.
