usually the fab work is needed for fitting up the downpipe. when i boosted my DA i hacked my xmember pretty bad. i wouldnt recommend cutting anything from your crossmember unless youre gonna reinforce it.

honestly, if you have the money...do it right. get rid of the stock xmember and go aftermarket. it'll help with traction issues in the long run and give you alot more options in terms of downpipe fitment.

good luck, you'll love every second youre in boost

I have a boost DA and its no different then any other Honda/Acura on the market. Yes the main problem is the cross member but with all the aftermarket companies out there making traction bars; you could fit a 4" if you wanted too. I have the fullrace bar and it was very straight forward to install and I LOVE IT!

are all the clearance issues the same in a da as it is in a crx? will i have to get a 1/2 size radiator, and will i have to route both intercooler piping to the passenger side if i plan on keeping powersteering and ac compressor?

It all depends how you setup your turbo system. I got a 1/2 size radiator and i didnt need it.... oh well

on my old setup i had a custom downpipe fabbed which allowed me to keep my stock cross member intact.

I just beat the crossmember with a Big hammer till it cleared and cut it a cutting wheel. I ran like that for a year and never had a problem out of it. I had a full size raditor with a inline pro manifold and 3inch DP. Now I have a half stack raditor and full-race traction bars for it and everything clears perfect. For the full-race bars. If your going to spend money on bars go with those.

Here are a couple pics of my crossmember, cut away and reinforced to fit the downpipe.

Sorry for the smallish pics, photobucket blows, they resizing them smaller and smaller every week.

if you measure it out correctly, you won't have any problems with rubbing.
