Default Boosting a CX hatch?

Do many people do this? I can get this CX for cheap, and don't really want to put in a B series at this time, and was thinking about just boosting it, since I have some SOHC turbo parts around. I was just thinking of running 5-6lbs. of boost. I am getting the hatch either way, I am not looking for anything other than a daily driver really, but have been toying with the idea of boosting it. Thanks in advance for your answers.

You can but, why? Its not gonna last long at all. With only 8 valves, boost is just gonna blow the engine up. I wouldn't waste money on that. Get a D16Z6 and boost that, its been proven to be a better D-Series engine to boost.

I'm not too familiar with SOHC motors. What are my options with heads?

What does the number of valves have to do with anything?
