Default Boosting a B16b?

Is it a good idea to boost a b16b CTR motor with a turbo? Any precautions?

Umm...I'm assuming you mean LS/Vtec motor right? If so, yes it's a good idea...you'll just have to fix up the oil lines so there's enough oil going to the head while there is also enough flowing to the turbo. It's not that hard.

Umm... From what I understand you couldnt do that much boost due to the high compression of the motor, in which case you would need to lower the compression ratio for higher boost. If you plan to build the engine to handle a lot of boost, you might as well go with a cheaper engine, like the B16a. I think the B16b's head is the same as the ITR, but I dont know if that would be worth the extra cost of the engine. Just something to think about.

I think the B16B head has the same casting as the B16A head just different internals.
