Boosting 135k mile GSR with 240 compression?
i have a GSR that has 135k miles and i want to do a mild turbo setup a friend of mine has a DSM turbo hes gonna hook me up with
I would just really like to know that im not gonna blow my motor like 15k miles after i put the turbo in...
I only want to run like 6-7psi
I did a compression test and cam out with 240 accross the board
and i tested it 2 weeks later and the same thing so i know i have good compression ... anything else i should be worried about?

keep this in mind....spanking brand new car can boost 5 psi and blow up...old *** bucket cars with 200k can boost 10 psi all day and be fine....no one can guarantee how ur pistons are gonna hold up or if the rods are the give out...with a compression test it only test if ur rings, head gasket, or valves are sealing correctly...not how they will hold boost...like i said b4 the only way to find out is boost....

it will truely tell you the condition of your motor

nope its the same thing almost but will just let you kno where the leak is and at what % are your rings sealing...5-10% should be ok i believe....a running leakdown would be better....but even after all these test...even if they say your motor is perfect...you could blow your engine up with 5 psi...just boost it and let us kno...if done correctly you should be fine
