boostin z6 wont start PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just a picture to get those of you who don't read threads without pics. Sorry but I'm desperate for some help.
Swapped in a turboed Z6 into a 91 crx Si and I cant get it to start. I kept it obd 0 by using the a6 intake mani and the a6 dizzy. I checked the grounds, firing order, 2 different ecus, 2 different dizzys (ones brand new and for sure works) I can smell gas really strong after cranking it for a while. It cranks strong but just wont start. Any help would be greatly apprediated. Heres my basic setup for an idea of what i did.
z6 motor
a6 dizzy
a6 intake mani
dsm blue top 450's
pm6 chipped with turboedit
t3
intercooler
external gate
no downpipe or exhaust
golden eagle vacumn mani.

Check your timing. My timing was off after I threw my LS motor back into my car for the first time and it just cranked like crazy. Check for spark at the plugs.. you may have an ignition problem that's not distributor or ECU related (ie. spark plugs, ground wire, loose wires inbetween distributor and ECU, bad wires, etc.)

what wiring harness? With one of them you need to switch 2 wires that lead to the dizzy. wish I knew more...

Uh... yeah
I know zilch about D-series swaps, you'll need someone else who knows D-series swaps to help with the specifics... but, you can check the obvious wires for breaks or bad grounds. And check your timing!

ok you know you have fuel; did you check for air (cam timing) and for spark?
an engine needs 3 things to run; air fuel and spark; if you're getting 2 of the 3 u know one is fucked.... just go along and try to find what is wrong.
also are you geting any cel's? if you are and post this thread you need to be kicked in the nuts
but serously; quadrulpe check your wiring w/ a multimeter in the car and under the hood. i had to track down about 60,000 electrical gremlins when i swapped a z6 in my 90si hatch. a multimeter; fsm and common sense will be your new best friends

Re: boostin z6 wont start PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (ComputerJLT)
Im not throwing any codes. Ive tried meesing with ignition timing by moving the dizzy back and forth. I didnt do the timing but when the cam gear is strait up and down it looks ok on the crank pully through the notch in the cover. I used the a6 crx wiring harness. I just extended 2 wires for the coolant sensor thing and didnt hook up the vtec solenoid. Thanks for the help so far.

Did you check your spark? You know you have fuel, so after checking spark, it must be timing. Don't move the Dizzy back and forth, go slowly because its sensitive.
Also, this might sound dumb but on my friends car, after swapping in a new d16, what stopped the motor from stopping was timing and the battery..try using a battery at full power, as u crank, it will weaken, and might not provide enough power for spark and crank.
