Default Boosted k24 frankenstein

What is a safe amount of boost to run on k24/k20 motor?

Heres the setup...

87.5mm bore k24 block (.5mm over stock)
8.8:1 CP forged pistons/rings
Forged H Beam Rods
Stock Crank
Greddy t517z turbo

Run on E-manage...

I clicked to see your profile and it says you're 16 you're barely able to drive what makes you think you would be able to handle such a traction-less car car with a BS piggy back system?

For one thing i didn't ask you to judge whether or not i could "handle" this car or not. You respond about my age with an immature
remark...ironic

Anywho, I already have the car running @ 10psi.

Whats it to you? Do you profile everyone before you post?

I accidently posted under my bros username. Which should make no difference at all. I still have the same question...

1. When you ask silly questions about how much boost you can run on forged internals with money spent ..on a K24, possibly a swap, rods & pistons and a possible 3k turbo kit then spend money on a crappy EMS you'll spark someones interest into who exactly they are speaking to when a brainless question such as

'' How much boost a k20/k24 can run'' .

If you were half knowledgable of this 3k turbo kit, you'd know that it "comes" with emanage ems. You dont have to tell me it's a hack job. I know... but i'm not going to go and pay a grand for kpro. emanage will suffice. i can make it happen

Well you can either do some reading then ask this question in a way that makes sense like what fuel do you have to support the horsepower you want or I poke fun at you.

That's obvious crap. Why would i be trying to make those number if i didn't have proper fuel.

If i read every single article to learn about proper fuel, i'd might aswell read for hours about feasible boost numbers, and if i know that i likely wouldn't be on this forum. This forum would serve no purpose if everyone had the time to research info they'll likely never find... or they can ask a knowledgable individual. (assuming they're not an ***)

What numbers? Did you mention in the first place first you ask a half *** question and now you're complaining?

If you even want to keep this car in 1 piece you should BE doing lots of reading if you didn't want to read why come to a forum?

That's what you're going to be doing anyway.

Good beginning question - I was there once too. If people react to your question in a put-down 'I'm superior' manner, I'd suggest their energy would be better used somewhere else.
As you probably know a built K24 is capable of making significant power. A good engine management system makes it safer and allows for tighter control of tuning. Good luck with your ride. Sounds like a great start.

thanks man i appreciate it. I may end up looking for something other than emanage.... I'm on a tight budget so kpro is just out of the picture right now

go do some reading we're not here to hold your hand.

You're limited to what your fuel pump and injectors, along with that silly turbo kit mr how much pounds of boost can it handle. Go find a tuner in your area. What were you going to do if someone here told you 25 psi? I'd say roughly 350HP with your current fuel mods.

Alright... thanks for the links. I'll do some more research. It's not the research i'm fretting over though. It's the cash fresh out of school, cars aren't a cheap hobby that's for sure
