Default Boosted f22b... need help

Just goti it running... question is can someone tell me if where i tapped for oil feed is ok.... I grabbed it under the vtec selenoid at that oil pressure sensor. also how shitty shoiuld this thing run on a basenap... only to get me to the muffler shop and back to the tuner... but my car smells like **** (rich) and the turbo (when it starts to spool sounds like a screaming Taredactal....sometimes, it seems smooth snd whines right up.. I am concerned, checked my plugs because i am a hypocondriac, and they are nice and white...no oil, no nothing (on the plugsd), but this ****** smokes (fuel???). I am concerned that the turbo may have been run dry, although i did prime it before running, and got oil into the feed line, it just doesnt sound right

PLEASE HELP!!!

I dont want to blow this bitch up. supposed tp gp tune it topmmorow, judst hope that if anything is wrong that its turbo seals or some ****, and not rings or something worse (is there???)

Setup is:

Stock (for now) internal bottom end F22B1
450cc DSM injectors
Turbonetics\Garret hybrid t3/40e 57 trim turbo (48/50 ar)
LSD semi tubular ss mani w external gate
2.5" down pipe
Closed loop dump tube
Tial 38 mm wastegate (.4 bar spring)
Custom intercooler
Tial 50 mm BOV
2.5" aluminum charge pipe
chipped p-72 running crome
Hallman PRO RX manual boost controller
Golden Eagle vacuum manifold

I have also put in a stage 3 6 puck clutch,
and 12 pound chrome molly flywheel in to deal with the additional power

Thanks guys!!

My guess would be seals in the turbo. What are you using for engine management???

BTW... good luck with your setup, mine only lasted for about 6 months before blowing rings and valve seals (on 10 psi). Back with i/h/e and a little experience in the FI field.

Where you tapped for oil is fine. As far as the smoke goes, what color is it? White, blue-ish, black?

Man, shitty deal, well I thought the motor was okay, so I checked PVC Valve, plugs, etc..all looked good, So I popped off the coldside charge pipe from the turbo, and the compressor was clean, but shaft play, **** it moved around like a damn TV antenna. Oil all up in the exhaust housing too.. So I found out why my **** was smoking, hey at least it wasnt the bottom end right??? The trippy thing is that I had primed the turbo AND the feed line before I started the car. Obviously by there being oil in the housing and the smoke the turbo is getting oil, so I guess i have to chalk this one up to a shitty turbo.

Soooooo my turbo is wasted. expletive, Taking it down to Alamo turbo in Kent to get rebuilt today...395.00 ouch

Well since i bought it for 250 dollars I guess i got what I paid for right, oh well I sure as hell didnt skimp anywhere else, so i gues it will be money well spent to KNOW I have a good pump!!!

Oh well heres a pic of my baby---f22b1 turbo in a 94 ex accord

were you running an oil psi restrictor in the feed?

also could you get a picture of how you ran the charge piping by the driver side radiator? did you have to relocate the oil cooler?

the more i see pics of your mani the more i cant wait to pick up mine. **** its been just sitting at the shop w/ Mike for the past couple months.

http://www.westcoast-turbo.com has some nice deals on rebuilt turbos, you might want to check them out

Ya I can get ya some pics, it wasnt that bad... I did have to relocate the oil cooler (above my intercooler now) but I just opened up the hole in the core support where the power steering cooler lines ran,,, i used a 70 degree pipe bend with a 90 degree silicone coupler straight out of the intercooler...the pipe ended up coming straight oup next to the radiator....Also, I just removed the stock primary fan and wired up the auxillary AC fan to the primary fan plug so that I had room for the turbo and room to spare.

Also kept all my AC and power steering ****. At the top of the pipe next to the radiator i used another 90 degree silicone coupling out of which a 45 degree bend goes around the wastegate and welded a cut 90 degree bend to it so that it went straight to the compressor outlet, there i used a 2.5" to 2" silicone reducer...i have pics of all of this, so if you like pm me your email adress and ill send them to ya...word???

Oh ya, I ended up just buying a new Garret\turbonetics hybrid turbo with stage 3 wheel, 57trim 48/50 AR... gettin her tuned this week finally!!! Should be fun times, but...IT RUNS...Pretty good!!!! Make SURE you use the oil sensor above the oil filter for feed expletive what anyone else tells you...I learned the hard way!!!

Pieces!

SPike

first off, its not a turbonetics turbo.... the compressor housing gives it away that its an ssac turbo... so if its shot its not even worth rebuilding because the internals are so shitty

Dude YOU ARE WRONG!!!!

The exhaust housing IS turbonetics (If i felt like it i could take a picture of the housing so you might be able to get over it) but...no I probably wont. I am pretty sure that the guys at Alamo turbo (who build these things all day long) know better than you, the center section is BRAND NEW GARRET, and yes, as I said you are right.. the compressor housing IS SSAC!!! I repeat the Compressor housing IS SSAC. The housing is the only thing I used from the old turbo that I smoked due to bad info (see above in this post) glad I checked for myself

The exhaust housing has the t on it, and turbonetics part number cast on it (there I feel better, but I sir know what in the expletive is in my setup...

There I feel better

BTW shitty about your friend I recently lost one of my good friends on a bike too....
