Ehh, it's all good. I'll be saying I love cars once I replace my headgasket and upgrade my fuel management.

...but then when I look at my empty wallet, I'll be reminding myself that I hate cars.

i just blew my headgasket today....again . this is with the arp headstuds too. I must have warped my head the last time I overheated from blowing the gasket.

**** SOHC's. I hate this overheating ****. If this ARP/OEM HG install doesn't fix the problem, I may be out.

make sure your head and block aren't warped. I think that may be my problem.

Overheating. Is the only problem I've run into. I have ARP headstuds that I installed hoping to solve the problem but still does it ever now and then. I've just been to lazy to install the new headgasket that I have. I'm selling this car by the way do to the fact that I have 2 boosted civics.

Maybe all of us boosted D's who are having overheating problems should be considering a different radiator?

Already tried that. Just put in a brand new, twice-as-thick radiator on Thursday. Didn't do ****, head is still lifting under boost and is probably warped.

I had a bone stock y8 on 6 psi, 8 psi, 10 psi, then 12 psi. ALl stock timing with vafc hack haha. This was a greddy kit 6 psi I went 14.8 with an ACT HDSS, 8 psi I went 14.1@100 mph and i didn't run it at 10 or 12 but at 12 I kept up with my friends 12:1 built lsvtec lol But she didn't like the 12 psi and I think a ring went so I took the kit off and sold it. Everytime I'd hit 5 psi it would just bog and stutter I figured it was a ring.

man don't worry too much about it. I changed my headgasket and got my head resurfaced in just a couple of days . I just finished yesterday. I wouldn't drive on it anymore like that though. Just set some time that your gonna get down and dirty and change that gasket .

I posted my times. At 6 psi I figure I was making like 160 whp or so and I went 14.8@92-94 depending on track prep air temp etc etc in a 2600 lb car. At 8 psi I was up in the 170s maybe 180. I went 14.1@100 same car. First run was a 2.3 60' and the second was a 2.2 60'. If I had some drag radials and could pull some 2.1 2.0 60' I would have been in the upper to mid 13s easy.

I don't see why it wouldn't. I know a guy with an SC-61 on a D16z6 with stock head. He's making over 400 hp. It spools plenty fast, all the way up to 30 psi.
