how much boost can be run on the b20b (cr-v) engine with stock internals? and what year of this engine is best to boost?

well i was doing .8bar daily driven and pushing 268whp

 

been running .76-.78 bar about 11.5 psi for months now on bone stock every thing with the JDM B20B from 96 has the low compression internals... but get a standalone or it wont be as safe you have to tune pretty good with these motors.

 

ok tuned results now in ... LESS HP but more torque due to a number of tings. mianly my turbo is too small now. for an LS motor T3 super 60 is SWEET pulls past reedline .. 272 WHP and 223 torque. at 1 bar of boost with the T3 my max HP was 262HP and 256 toorque however, it dies off after 5.5K RPM which sucks *** but i got a lot more usable powoer from 3K to5.5 im tatlkini 50-100 HP more and 50-90 lb ft more also ini tha range. my torque keeps oon climing pretty good stays in ithe 225- 250 range from 5K RPM to redline. peak at 256 torque at 5-6 K RPM and sllowolly tapers down to 230 lb ft torque. all in all .. if you got an LS .. go T3 super 60. if you got a b20 go with a goood sized T3/t4
