boosted b16 won't rev out... need help asap
ok, i have a stock b16 boosted on 8 lbs. it ran perfectly fine, then one day it wouldn't rev out. when i punch it, it will climb thru the rpm like normal then just cut, almost like it hits fuel cut. it won't do it at any certain rpm. it varies on how hard i'm getting on it. if i barely ease on the throttle it will rev all the way out. but if i really try to hammer it then it cuts. i've changed the tps sensor and checked the injector wiring. please help. i'm wanting to get a new car but can't sell this one if its cutting out

i tried it with a p28 knowing it wouldn't work since i've got different injectors and stuff. it barely even ran. i took the chip out and cleaned it out with air but its still cutting. all i can think of is faulty wiring but i don't know what wires it may be

I had the exact same problem. It turned out to be the ICM and the Ignitor. Replaced both of them and ITS like a different car

Could also be the o2 wiring... my stock civic used to fall on it's face randomly then spring back to life if I went WOT.
It turned out to be loose wiring on the O2 sensor causing the car not to know how to fuel the car in open loop but at WOT it just uses the fuel map i/o the O2 reading to fuel it.

its definitely not the o2 sensor since my ecu is flashed to not read them lol
but if its boost cut would it just begin one day? cause it didn't always do it

It is possible that your MAP sensor is dirty, causing incorrect readings possible resulting in boost cut. A really simple variable elimination would be to clean the MAP sensor.
Can you datalog with the Hondata unit you have? If so, datalog an instance of low-load, full RPM operation, then datalog an instance of full-load with the problem you are describing.
