Boost troubles/motor is done for
Problem 1: oil blew out somewhere on the driver side of the motor (by the timing cover). Lost about 3 quarts of oil
Problem 2: Compression: 190, 120, 190, 90
The timing belt was off a tooth ever since I got the motor in. It pulled insanely great, pulled in noticed the oil problem. Let the car sit, starts up fine. I go to start it again to put it onto the jacks - takes forever to turn over - thats the point where i get scared and do the compression check.
So my story is, it pulled awesome until I noticed the oil. Still started up fine after oil probem, then all of a sudden it wont start right and the compression is down.
what is most likely the problem, ie. seals, pistons, valves?
Just looking for some help

Okay, my balance shaft seal blew, hence the oil problem. That will be replaced - but would that explain my bad compression? My timing was off a tooth from TDC ever since I got it if that makes any difference.
TTT for some help

Well you could start by telling us what engine? I'm guessing h22 b/c of the balance shaft seal thing.

yes, its an h22 prelude. the motor is newly boosted, less than 100 miles. When I got the motor, the compression was 190 all the way across

Replaced the belt, fixed the timing problem, got the blanace shaft seal on and still low compression in cylinder #2 and 4.
More tear down will ensue, but does this sound like a valve problem?
edit: compression is now 190-150-190-150. Its better, but still not good. Should I try that gay compression restorer stuff? Hell, it cant hurt
