Boost Sucks
Well i completed installing my turbo kit and it really sucks. My little d16z6 can barley spool the t3/t4e .50, .63 a/r i have, and its also clipped. Its slower than when i had the t25 in. I get full boost at about 5.5k. My power band just sucks. I cant even spin the tires. Well my setup consists of 8.5 srp pistons, eagle rods, block guard, diy log manifold, and a revhard ic w/2.5 ic piping. My question is how do i make most of what i have?

Exactly... A T4 compressor wheel is a poor match for almost any low displacement engine. Try the common (and maybe cliche) T3 compressor wheel with a T04 turbine wheel

Most likely too big... Later (when I stop being lazy) I'll do a compressor match for that compressor and the B18B and post it up

Re: Boost Sucks (b3435)
Well heres a heads up for people wanting to trade turbos. It has about 25 miles on it, but it also leaks oil because i hooked to oil inlet and outlet wrong at first so i would assume it needs a rebuild now, and it also has an internal wastegate. I would be willing to help pay for part of the rebuild, so let me know if anyone's interested.

Re: Boost Sucks (romeo619romeo)
I'll strait up trade you for mine Mine is worthless. And it wont fit your manifold.
Save up some money and buy a small t3/t4 and get your manifold redone with a new flange
Sounds like you got all the hard stuff done already from your mod list. Don't dispair, you're almost there!

Cheapest solution: 50-shot with a Hobbs Turbo/Nitrous Switch to turn on/off the NAAAAWZ at a certain boost pressure.

Re: Boost Sucks (94dxt)
OUCH! a straight T4 on a D16 with 8:5 compression! I would get a T3/T4, i have an LS and i wouldnt even run a straight T4 on it. Currently i use a T3/60-1 on my stock LS and it makes full boost at 5200 RPM. It is a similar powerband to yours it sounds, but mine definatley spins wheels and it isnt that bad going from T3/T4, the top end gain is worth the lag in my eyes.
