Boost on stock H22A?
Hi!
I've searched and couldn't find my answer.
I Don't surf here alot so don't kill me for asking this
How high boost does a Stock H22A(5) take without being worried about destroing the engine?
If it's going to be done it's being handled with the AEM EMS so there should not be any problems with tuning.
Thanks!

There are so many variables. Tuning will be the most important thing. If you look a few threads down u'll see a stock h22 with 536 whp but i know people who have blown them at 300 whp. And its less about boost level and more about hp levels. Pick a hp level and aim for that. Any idea how much power you would like to push?
Oh and its hard to say because boosting 10 psi on a t25 will be alot different then 10 psi on a t3t4.

It's going to be a t3t4. and probably looking for 250-300bhp.
But 10psi on a H22A is probably what it can take without probs?

hell no. with a t3/t4 - don't go over 7psi.
Maybe 10psi will last for a few months, but the ringlands will blow most likely. Don't take short cuts.
I know you don't want to haev to sleeve your h22 - but you can look into the mahle goldseries pistons. Thats what I'll be running in my h22a. You can get 9:1, 10:1, or 11.5:1 c/r pistons. Get some $300 eagle rods, and you can make as much power as you need (not really). Do it the safe way. Thats pretty much the only 'safe' way of doing it without sleeving your block.
