boost questions
Ok getting ready to boost my b16 and I have some questions...
The vacuum line coming off the turbo what do I connect it to?
Does it do to the wastegate?
I'm sure that it does but I only want to run the amount of boost that the wastegate spring is set at.
So which line on the wastegate do I use..
And If I hook the turbo vacuum line to the correct one on the wastegate does it also have to be connected to a vacuum source on the motor itself and where?
Any help I would apprciate
Here are pics so I'm not confusing anyone...hopefully

1. Connect the line from the compressor to the bottom port on your wastegate. This will allow you to run the psi the wastegate spring is set at.
2. Leave the top port on the wastegate open, unless you are using a boost controller to turn up the boost.
3. The wastegate is not supposed to see vacuum...i.e. - it's supposed to be fed a pre-throttle plate boost source, like from the nipple off your compressor housing. Many people do run their wastegate source from a vacuum manifold or some other vacuum source and have no problems, but TiAL specificly says not to do so, and they must have a reason. My theory is that the diaphragm on the inside is not designed to see constant vacuum, which could cause premature wear. Also, if you're running an MBC and it is seeing vacuum - boom, instant vacuum leak.
