Default boost problems with jrsc

i have a jrsc on a lsv with gsr head, on a base map with 440s, was told 8 psi i just put boost gauge not 8

need to know whats wrong first is it normal for vacuum to be at 20 at idle?
then 1st and 2nd&3rd gear w.o.t almost 6psi and drops to 4 at high rpm?
but 4th and 5th at 7psi then drops to 4psi at the top end?
any help woul be greatfull

cat has normal boltons,i,h,e headers are really pinched on the bottom, not sure if that has something to do with it

Maybe your filter is too restricting?
Where did you place your boost gauge vacuum line?

Pinched header would lead to higher boost numbers, as the boost would back up in the intake manifold because it can't get through the motor. Are you belts tight, and not slipping? Usually when you loose boost at higher RPMs, it due to slipping belts.

X2-I have this problem with my Mustang. I had to go with wider pulleys with more ribs to fix the issue.

I had boost dropping off at high rpms also and tightened belts problem solved. Just remember the belt from crank to alt drives the alt which drives the blower so make sure you check both belts could be either belt causing boost loss
