JRSC.. what would cause no boost?
took my car out for a drive today for a test drive with the new boost guage.
i have a jrsc with the 4.0 pulley. when i got on it, never hit boost.
i tried a few times, but nothing... no boost. vacum works, around 21psi at idle on the vacum side.
any reasons why i wouldn't hit boost with a JRSC? would belts have anything to do with it? the blower isn't making any kinds of noises or anything like that.

hehe, wastegate, thats funny.
anyways,
you sure your belt is on there tight and it's not slipping??
Also check the bypass valve,
it's whole purpose is to turn off boost (under partial throttle i believe)
so if it's stuck, then it'll turn off boost permanentely.

Re: JRSC.. what would cause no boost? (boostedeghatch)
the bypass valve opens and closes when i rev the motor. its supposed to do that, correct?
i am using a belt from the nose pulley to the alt. that is about 2 sizes bigger than it should be.
i hooked up a boost guage, but i didn't Tee it off to the intake manifold. i used the nipple thats right above where the TB goes. the SC is on a gsr motor.

oh well thats why
you have to read boost off the intake mani, after the charger.
before the sc there is only vacuum

well, not anywhere after the tb,
anywhere after the supercharger would be more correct!
but yeah that plugged up fitting next to the brake booster L shaped fitting,
lookslike a perfect source,
wouldnt have to T anything in that case
