Default boost problems!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the dyno today and had nothing but problems. first did a pull to see if switching out my itr cams for stock gsr cams would make a difference.....it did. Got like 6 more horsepower throught the rpm range. ok switch out my mugen chipped ecu with a stock gsr ecu, air/fuel=perfect! kewl! lets adjust the cam gears to get more power! so we advance the intake cam 2 degrees as well as the timing, do another pull and the air/fuel goes to ****! too lean! so we put it back stock. then the boost starts going to ****. jumps to like 8psi @ llike 3000rpm, stays there till like 6200rpm then starts dropping to like 4psi. Im like wtf? anybody got any suggestions on why this may be? I have a rev hard stage 2 t3/4 turbo on a 95gsr with je pistons to 9:1 compression. thanx!

What are you using for tuning? Perhaps you were detnating so badly you couldn't make any boost Either that or perhaps your leaking boost some how blow off valve? intercooler piping?

I was on the dyno to tune and all I have is a stock gsr ecu with a vafc, skunk 2 cam gears, turbonetics wastegate. the air/fuel was right on the dyno it just wasnt holding the boost it built

its a manual boost controller but Im not sure on the brand, I am borrowing it from a friend. Im fixing to go reroute alot of vacum lines that we think is the problem. Ill check back here later and let ya know and see if ya have any other ideas. THANX!

what it sounds like to me is happening is that boost controller is letting the WG see boost (probably a ball and spring type) but it is not bleeding off a small amount of pressure in the line to the WG, thus keeping it open, and lowering/varying your boost.

my vote is defiantely on the forms of boost control, not the tuning.
