Default boost issue

well i just put my sohc kit on a stock jdm b16, im having boost issue as soon as i get to 10 psi it starts breaking up bad, so i played with dizzy (timming) now its breaking up at 5 psi, whats goin on, im check timming tommorow, also doesnt keep a good idle wants to shut off, when it does idle it idles at like .5 rpm, im throwing code 10 and code 41, funny thing is that my map the o2 is disabled, it ran fine on my d-series heres my kit when it was on d everything the same except manifold and blow off

ok first...you are running a b18 map on a b16...so probably massive fuel dump as well as other things...

and then you are running a 3bar...and im pretty sure most tuners wont give a basemap for a 3bar.

so get the right basemap and get it tuned right before you destroy something.

you cant just be swapping basemaps for different motors...you are lucky you didnt blow up your motor if you are boosting at 10 psi on a complete bs fora basemap.

The map is your problem sir. Get the car tuned, i bet your car is no where near the correct afr and your idling problem could lie inside the motor due to boosting 10lbs on a NON-tuned car.

If your on a 1 bar spring you should be boosting 14.5lbs. Your not even hitting full boost. . Get the car tuned properly, I'd suggest a compression/leakdown test just to know how healthy the motor is.

Keep up the next comments and nobody will reply to help you. There's no point to be stubborn and not listen.

Answer me this, what are your AFR's? EGT's, IAT's?

Yes you may have ran a base map but everyone with common sense about boosted cars knows your tune is everything. You sir are running a base map made for a completely different setup, therefore your car is NOT going to run properly.

if you messed with the timing and it got worse, then i would think it is a timing problem. How much timing are you pulling in boost? What are you tuning with? What are the a/f ratios?
