Well tonight I rolled up next to a cobra svt... next thing i know there's a cop, so I move out of the way.. and wehn I get to the next light.. after a little boost...

the car idles up and down between 1400 and 1000 vroomvroomvroomvroom.. now i'm assuming it's in panic mode, got a CEL but havnt checked the code out yet...

before i get the code.. am i correct in thinking it's in panic mode.. cause i sure am...

 

sounds like you blew off something, and it's leaking past the TB. Check the code, I think code 3 is MAP sensor, that's just my guess.

 

thanks.. i'll check that in the morning.. before work.. and look for a vacume leak.. i also noticed the fuel pressure was higher than normal at idle so your prolly right about that.. I pray that's all it is!!!

 

codes 14 and 63..

not sure why.. gonna reset the ecu and see what happens.

 

14= Idle controll sys (IAC, Fast idle thermo valve)
63= secondary O2. I used to get that one all the time untill I changed to 96 ecu.

i translated the codes as a bar map sensor and o2 sensor..?? off this one site..

i reset the ecu and it's idling now.. not sure what caused it? idle is fine now.. we shall see what happens.. gonna drive it for a bit before i head off to work..

whats an IAC?

 

IAC= idle air control. it could also be a leak in the vacum lines or the intake manifold.

Check your fuel pressure regulator and the vacum line conected from the manifold to the regulator. U also mentioned that your fp went up. A tiny hole in the hose can cause large problems.
