Try a restrictor in the line. A hole about 20-30 thousandths will help dampen the pulses. you could get a small piece of plastic and melt a hole through it with a hot needle or something just to test it out. Also try hooking up the line to another boost/vac source if that doesnt work.

Could be getting pulses from a cylinder. Try another source.

Make sure that if you are running an external wastegate dump that nothing is blocking the end of the pipe.

my mechanical gauge does the same thing.. its hooked to the back of my edelbrock manifold.. but when logging hondata boost psi is steady as can be. think the hose going to the boost gauge is too big? or just try another source?

There is a reason that many mechanical gauges have a small orifice/restrictor built in.

I would guess not. It's a really easy fix most of the time. Here is a picture of an old greddy boost gauge I had in the kitchen. Try it out...

My boost gauge was doing this also. I took it to my local tuner shop and they checked it out. Turned out i had a leak in my external wastegate's gasket. They replaced it and now the shaking has gone away.

i dont think thats my problem because logging it in hondata shows it staying steady as can be..now i just need to figure out howto make a restrictor for my hose goign to the boost gauge.
