BOOST GAUGE
I prefer boost gauges with vacuum readings because I'd like to see when I get into boost. But that's just a preference. Also, you can use the vacuum side as a reference for any vacuum or hose related problems.. IE: your car ( a GSR for example) should be at around 20 vac when the car is idling.. if not, something could be wrong.
I also prefer the vacuum. Helpful with idle and vacuum leak problems.
I also think the Carbon Fiber look is gay, but that's your personal preference. Carbon fiber is a high strength, lightweight material. Why does the gauge face need that? Not ripping on you, just my opinion. If its not gay, its at least rice-boy.
Later.

Because the carbon fiber "look" guages do not cost any more than the normal ones, why not get them if you have other carbon fiber elements?
different folks different strokes. the guy didnt ask if you liked CF onyl if you liked VAC
me, i believe vac is just as important to know as boost.

Yeah, I got the vacuum one. Carbon fiber too. Why not get it? It's cheap, and about 2 bucks more than the non CF ones.
Plus with the vacuum, as someone said, you know when you hit boost. Right now, my car is still being stupid, and I'm trying to stay out of boost. With the vacuum part, I can keep it that way.

the engine vacuum at idle will halp you be able to figure fuel for idle, not enough vacuum the computer sees load and adds fuel therefore rich idle, important to monitor when driving.
My autometer boost vacume gauge when the car is off, reads just under 0 vacume... and when on.. reads just over -20 on vacume.. SO THE GAUGE IS OFF OR OUT OF CALIBRATION... so far that's the only problem I have from it.. kinda pisses me off because i like things to be exact for readings.. makes me nervous sometimes.. I might switch it out for another one.... like a greddy to match my egt..
same exact issue
w/ the car off boost /vac. should read 0
MY AUTOMETER GAUGE reads 2??? 2psi!!! that means when i run 7-8 psi it reads 9-10psi!!!
and the vac. reads 2 more then normal!
its off and i dont like it!!!!!
