boost controller up or down?

Default boost controller up or down?

okay i have a drag 3 kit with the delta wastegate 7lbs. spring, will a boost controller be able to up the boost from 7lbs. or only be able to adjust from 1lbs.-7lbs. i know this is a easy question for u turbo guys but nobody i know seems to agree on this.

You will only be able to adjust the boost controller for equal to or more that 7lbs. The boost controller will be able to 'trick' the wastgate to think there is less boost, but it wont be able to simulate more boost and open it early. If its an electronic boost controller and you set it to 7lbs your turbo should spool faster. This is because it wont release the boost signal until it reaches 7psi. Normaly the wastegate spring starts opening earlier than 7psi until it is fully open at 7psi. (or whatever spring is in there)
