Default Inline Pro manifold porting

Just measured the wastegate port on the mani and it's something ~34mm. I have a 38mm Tial. Is it a good idea to port match it?

I don't see why not, just use the gasket as a template. Just be careful you don't want any leaks.

While your at it why don't you clean up the ports a little and matchport the turbine housing to the exhaust flange on the manifold.

I did that with my Revhard.

just place the gasket on the manifold and shave the gasket to match that port. then take that gasket and match it to your turbine housing.

Always wear googles and get a good mask so you don't inhale too much dust.

Ok, I'm ready to get this done. What drill works best? I saw a bunch of wood tools at sears, they were round and didn't look right. The port drill bits looked better but 38mm = 1.5" and I couldn't find a metal one in that size.

Is there a better tool for this? I'd assume a tapered cylinder of somekind would work much better.

I think an air die-grinder would work best with a deburring tip. If you don't have access to an air compressor, then maybe a dremel, but I think it would take much longer on the dremel because it's much weaker.
