Default Boost controller

OK I have a Turbo XS dual stage boostcontroller, which is basicallly the same as those other manual BCs. I connected one end of it to the wastegate and now I need to hook up the vacuum side. I noticed on the intercooler piping, that runs from the turbo to the intercooler, there is a nipple welded in. Is this an adequate spot to hook it up to? I do realize that the boost pressure here is going to be slighty different than in the vacuum lines, but it would be much more conveniant to run it here.
Thanks
