forgot to mention..i've done a lot of reserach and it seems that onlyt the people who "hammer" the blockguard in are having problems w/ overheating. also that it would benefit it to have it put in about 1 1/2 inches from the top of the sleeves. should i have the machine shop weld this in as well?

i have the nuformz one for about a year and a hlaf. never had any probs. and i taped mine in with brass hammer, but i then had the motor bord out. and totally checked over to make sure it was all straight. Personally i would not put any thing between the cyl wall with out having them checked after

I've tapped mine in, with 2 different blocks never had problems with overheating. Only when I tried bypassing the coolant outlet off the intake manifold
