Default is a block guard really worth it

I always had something agianst not using one but if im running 17 psi on a sc61 w/ ls 9.01 comp pistons and rods headstuds and tuned will that blockguard give me more of a "Safe zone" to maybe boost 19 psi and make some good power, just let me now because they are cheap and I really want someone who could tell that they are worth it or not. Thanks

In my opinion NOPE, I will NEVER build a motor with a blockgaurd... If you want the extra strength for more boost sleeve the motor... Just my $0.02, Latez
