block guard question??????

Default block guard question??????

ok im going to bulid a mini me and its going to have some where between 13.1 and 13.6 comp. and i want to get it tuned so i can spray a 50 or 75 shot on it and i was wondering if i should use a block guard? its going to be stock bore, and also will a block guard make the motor over heat this will or mite be daily driven car so can someone help me out this is my first build well thanks honda-tech


also does anyone think the high comp on spray is a bad idea???

And, Hi compression with spray is a bad idea... without a GOOD tune/ and forged internals...

but what if i got a good tune cuz im going to do a d16a6 bottom end with p29 pistons,arp rod bolts,arp head stups,acl rod bearings,oem main bearing,oem oil pump new,with a y8 head,with a zex cam...and i want to spray on that.

soo what do u think????

nitrous works good with high compression . i had a 11.7 motor and sprayed a 75 on it.

and block guards work as long as there installed correctly...

I would use one....ive used them plenty of times with no problems

My block gaurd seems to do me no harm, Use one. BUT>>> Have it installed correctly, then deck the block.
