Man...we just established that they are <U>not necessary</U> then you go and throw a wrench in it all. Ryan, we have already posted the proper installation procedures, so do with that what you will. If you aren't comfortable doing it yourself, then find a good machine shop that is. But your engine is already assembled and running with the wiseco's and all, correct? If so, don't bother man. It will be a waste of time and a pain in the *** to take the head off and get the cylinders honed and all that bs. Soo not worth it. Also, most shops will want the block out of the car in order to do the hone too.

i ran a blockgaurd on my last setup, dropped a valve [not becuase of bg]

Head was trashed [ferrea valves], pistons [forged] were trashed. Sleeves were scuffed bad but not cracked.

Using that block in my current new build
