Default Block Gaurd or Sleeve?

I have a 96' gsr that i am hopefully going to turbo, i am rebuilding it with all low comp. pistons and forged rods, i want to run about 13 or 14 psi but am not sure if the stock sleeve will hold up or not, cuz that would be some money saved?

even 1lb of boost requires sleeving

not..... search for what you want to know... probably under "stock block". You have a lot of reading and research to do

dont measure your goals in terms of PSI because its an irrelevant measurement. Also, you probably dont need aftermarket sleeves or want a block guard. There are several cars in the upper 400s safely on stock sleeves and i know there are more beyond that even....

downside to having it without machining is distorting your cylinder walls, thus causing irregular wear. also, blockage of coolant passageways causing overheating.

14 psi of boost. stock sleeves with forged bottom end and a great tune would do wonders
