blitz dd bov...anyone else getting compressor surge?
Whenever the throttle is released quickly, I get a quick shot of compressor surge. I adjusted the bov as well...only thing I can think of is the vacuum line to it is 2 or 3 feet long...would that cause it? Anyone else have this problem with this bov?

the blitz dd has two spring choices. one for 18psi and below, one for 18psi and above. you might have the stiff spring and thats whats causing the compressor surge. try loosening up the spring some more and see what happens
If I loosen the bolt anymore it'll be loose (like hand loose). Are the springs different colors or something? I wonder if I can open it and take a look. I only get it when I shut the throttle quick, and it's only for a second, then you hear the BOV.
Do your guys' sound clean, or do they flutter the first half second?

My DD had compressor surge when Itried to use it with 20 PSI, I'd hear the compressor chirping a bit before it released the pressure. I think every setup is different. I picked up a HKS SSQV and that got rid of the surge.

Yea that's what mine does..but I'm not anywhere near 20lbs. *shrug* maybe I'll just live with it.

Good to hear it works, and mine never held vacuum.

ok cool. Unfortunely the compressor surge comes back half the time...imma spray some wd40 or something in there.

Ok, I got it working good now. I took it apart, lubed up the piston and cylinder walls with oil. Put some teflon on the adjusting stud, and tightened it. What I think this did, is move the washer completely below the vacuum port...ever since I moved the spring down more with the adjusting stud, it works awesome!!! So maybe it's not suppossed to be completely loose, but be tightened some. Here's some eye candy.
