Default Blaster Coil w/o MSD?

My MSD 6A just crapped out, since I don't have my stock coil anymore, is it cool to run just my blaster2 coil? I run 8-10psi daily, but I plan on taking it easy (yeah right)
Also, can a bad MSD unit cause hesitation? I had intermittent starting problems and the problem went away when I jiggled the wires going to the igniter- guess I jiggled too hard-hence my question... TIA

There's no problem using an external coil with no ignition box. I run an Accel coil and no aftermarket box.

1)remove the + and - wires from the OEM coil
2)remove OEM coil
3)install a MSD modified distributor cap
4)route the + and - OEM coil wires out from the distributor cap and connect to the primary side of the MSD coil
5)route cable from the MSD coil's secondary terminal to MSD distributor cap terminal
done.

The cap from an accord will work as well, and is probably cheaper and easier to get.

Default What year?

What year Accord?

And what dists will it fit? I am wondering because the cap for the LS/B16A is smaller and does not fit the cap for a GSR/ITR.

Soooo, do you know offhand which one the Accord cap works for?

TIA,
- Slater

I don't really remember, someone should know though. It fit my b17a distributor which should be the same as the LS and b16a. Not sure about the 3rd gen GSR's or ITR.
