Default biggest turbo that'll fit on a t3 log manifold??

i have a t70 ebay turbo, thing is huge, wondering if this will fit on a standard t3 log manifold without having to notch the block on a B-series?

run it so the compressor is facing the drivers side. I have a generic ebay ar.50 compressor and it is too big to run without notching the block so I ran it the other way.

thats because the chinese turbos sit closer to the block than a brand new turbo so it requires notching. and no that ebay t70 will NOT fit without the compressor being on driver side like trevor stated

how are chinese and name brand turbos different externally? aren't the chinese ones just a rip off of the brand names? like cheap *** replica

Iv had the same turbo as the opp has and It didn't make **** for power on my ls vtec. I had my ls vtec with rods/pistons, b16 head gsr cams, s2 i.m. and a nsr-tech ram with 3" d.p. and it made less power on 17lbs then my ls turbo did. it was soo disappointing. 307/220tq

ls/vtec is a bitch to tune purley because the vtec u need adjustable cams to make real hp ive seen 50 more hp just purley on going from cams to adjustable....also LS torque is rediculous for some reason i still havnt figure it out, im not convinced on vtec yet....but u did say b16, NO TQ at all in those, my buddy made 325 with 180 torque hahahah knee slapper

it was tuned by jeff at rrev who is a very very good tuner. the reason it didn't make power wasn't because of not having adjustable cam gears it was due to the turbo maxing out, it made 295whp on 13lbs of boost and 4 more lbs of boost netted only 12 more whp. it just proved that some ebay turbos make power some don't thats the problem with them is that they are inconsistent. but for budget builds they are great.

^ also with b16's being torqueless they do a great job of hooking up with a street car, I had a turbo b16 that made 288whp and hooked every gear, it was alot of fun.

I wonder what mine will lay out once its ready (and now rebuilt by hatch engines). I wish I would have just went stock LS...I would have so much money in the bank right now.....

If it were a comparable trim to the t70 and not a ebay turbo it would be fun I bet

the chinese turbos are somewhat of a copy but there not exact. the measurements are differetn on the turbine housings and it sits closer to the block. IDK why i didnt make them but thats whats up with them

I love mine on my lsvtec! It feels great in boost. Sad thing is I honestly want something bigger and better like a pte6265 when I can afford one.

I don't know what your setup is/was but mine with a very similar motor made 309/256 on 9psi.

ya I was hoping to have made 370ish but I think part of the reason it didn't make power is because I bought std bore pistons and the p2w clearence was like .0055 EEK!

lsvtec w/ b16 cams
aebs intake w/edelbrock 65
inlinepro t4 mani
ebay t70 w/ 3" vband
3" dp and exhuast
OBX 31x13x3 intercooler
dsm 450's and a 255 high pressure.

60' 1.81
1/8 7.85 @ 93.xx
1/4 12.01 @ 116.xx

pretty simple

I would like to get a measurement of the wheels. Im willing to bet its not a true t70. The 57trims are more like 44 and the 60-1 spools up way to fast on a single cam to be a 60-1. Any way you could get some measurement of the wheels and report back so I can do the math on it. On a locals car this turbo supposedly made 525 on like 25psi or so.....

Your exactly right its not a TRUE t70 like the name brands. Its just a 70 a/r on the compressor with a 60.5mm wheel and 84a/r exhaust housing. And yes Marcus 525 with the same turbo as me on a B16.

Hate to bring this back from dead but I'm curious what the measurments of the T70 is vs. a 6265 outer compressor housing for fitment on a log mani. Does anyone have this, or can anyone say or show without a doubt that it will fit ( 6265 that is) on an Inline Pro T3 A/C mani? Just curious is all.

Log wouldnt be the best choice for a turbo of this caliber, but alot of people have log mani's and alot of good turbo's have come to the marketplace lately. Its only a matter of time till a log user bolts one up.
