Big question
I have a pretty big question for you all so any help that you can give me would be great. First off i have a B16a 99 si with a greddy turbo kit. i also have the greddy blue box. I know that the blue box is limited to 5-6 psi. i want to be able to run 2 boost settings 5-6 psi and 10-11 psi. my biggest concern is that i build a reliable engine.
Can i do anything to avoid buying a new ecu. and if i have to buy a new ecu is their one that will allow my car to pass emissions/ inspections.
I am doing my build up in stages and i want to try to plan the best way to get my car up to 10-11 psi ( i am hoping for 275ish whp) On my current set up i am pulling 202 whp (dynoed at CV2).
I already plan on buying an Intercooler and a boost controller I think i can get away with a Manual Dual Stage. I was also thinking that i may be able to run a VAFC on 2 diffrent settings to allow for the higher boost. I am not even sure if that is possible with the blue box. But could i take off the blue box and run a VAFC to the computer with the diffrent settings.
If you have any ideas that might help me please let me know. Thanks for your help.
